Connecticut Virtuosi

A collaborative project between the Italian town of Empoli and its Orchestra Contrapunto. We are inviting members from the Italian Orchestra in a collaborative project with our core Virtuosi members in a performance of the best of Italian concertos. Final repertoire will be confirmed very soon.

Teatro Lirico d’Europe and the Connecticut Virtuosi presents the Tribute to Pavarotti concert program with projections that tell the story of each piece will feature highlights from: Giordano ANDREA CHÉNIER, Bellini NORMA, Verdi IL TROVATORE, Puccini TOSCA, Verdi LA TRAVIATA, Donizetti LA FILLE DU REGIMENT, Puccini LA FANCIULLA DEL WEST, Puccini TURANDOT, and other operas associated with the great tenor’s career plus several romanzas and canzones that Pavarotti’s popularity brought to the attention of the entire world!

Les Indes galantes by Rameau enchants with its vivid orchestration, rhythmic brilliance, and imaginative portrayal of love across cultures. Rameau’s opéra-ballet fuses elegance with exotic flair, offering spirited dances and lush harmonies. Each entrée unfolds like a musical tapestry, celebrating emotional depth and Enlightenment curiosity through dazzling theatrical and sonic invention.
