In THE WEDDING we meet three generations of Palestinian women who call a refugee camp home. Young Farah is getting married, which puts the women in the family to the test as the constant interruptions in the camp put a strain on their planning and dreams of a different life. Everything culminates when the news of a dawning uprising reaches the women. For how do you maintain hope and love in war and chaos?

The Wedding

The participating international playwrights are selected through an open call, where Blaagaard Theatre, in collaboration with cultural institutes from Catalonia, France, and Germany, will choose a handful of texts to be presented on stage as performative readings.
