The Light in the Piazza is a beautifully told story of a woman, Margaret Johnson, who is visiting Italy with her daughter Clara. When Clara, a young woman not quite as mature as her years would suggest, falls in love with an Italian boy, Fabrizio, Margaret vehemently objects.
