Hausmann Quartet

SDSU Javanese Gamelan Ensemble presents the rich and resonant sounds of traditional Javanese gamelan—an Indonesian ensemble of bronze gongs, metallophones, drums, and melodic percussion with roots in the court music of Central Java. Under the direction of the School’s world music faculty, the ensemble brings to life intricate rhythmic cycles and layered textures that reflect centuries-old musical traditions.
