Miles Shrewsbery is a distinguished tabla artist, educator, and performer of North Indian classical music. Trained in the Farukhabad gharana under masters from Hyderabad, India, he has appeared internationally with leading Indian classical musicians and artists across genres. In addition to his global performance experience, Shrewsbery teaches tabla and Indian ensemble music at UCLA and serves as an Artist-Teacher in Residence at the Center for World Music in San Diego, sharing the vibrant rhythms and expressive tradition of the tabla with audiences and students alike.
