When I think of Germany...

…I think of forests and front gardens, of Nazis and “Never again!”, of East and West, of contradictions. The Jewish poet Heine also thought of his great love who didn't want him when he thought of Germany, of the Lorelei, of silly and profound infatuation, of solitude in the forest and the North Sea, of the sleepy German everyman and book-burning fraternity members.
