Can trauma be passed down from generation to generation? Norwegian-Vietnamese dancer and choreographer  Tony Tran  explores the question in the poignant and poetic solo performance  Love Tenderly . Using his body as a tool, he takes a personal and artistic journey through his family history — from his father's experiences in prison camps and escape to his own upbringing as a gay boy in Norway, shaped by Catholicism, Vietnamese cultural heritage and the need to fit in.

In the performance, a story emerges about how identity is formed, challenged and inherited. Through dance, movement and a strong stage expression, Tran shows how the body carries memories, how trauma can become a transformative force and how freedom becomes possible when the unsaid is allowed to take place. Gradually, a larger, universal question opens:  Who am I – and how many versions of me fit in the same body?
