Dolores was raised in a strict Catholic working-class home near Limerick, Ireland. She grew up in a place where girls were expected to be subservient and where the task in life was to take care of children and the home. For Dolores, it was difficult to stay in the background as her inherent strength and power found musical expression early on. At the age of 18, she became the frontwoman of the band The Cranberries and together they became unstoppable.

With her powerful and emotional voice, she touched millions of fans all over the world and she used her platform to break the stigma around mental illness when she spoke openly about her own experiences. With her total stage presence and a voice that demanded to be heard, she became a role model and a champion, not least.
