Sammy's emotions are in turmoil: in his head, his gut, his heart, everywhere. One minute everything's fine, the next, dark clouds of despair gather completely unpredictably. Sometimes Sammy feels everything at once, and sometimes nothing at all—it's maddening! The culprit is an inexplicable feeling that's been a part of Sammy's life for some time now. It comes from the Kingdom of Feelings, the place where all feelings originate and are assigned to their appropriate people. There are the straightforward feelings, like love, which, along with its sister, joy, ensures well-being in the realm. Rather unpopular, but nonetheless powerful adversaries, are their colleagues anger and fear. Occasionally, inexplicable feelings also arise in the kingdom. These are necessary for people going through phases of emotional turmoil, and Sammy is currently experiencing one such phase: puberty.
