When Hamlet returns to the Danish court, the old order has been shattered. Hamlet's father, the King of Denmark, has been murdered by his own brother. Unseen, unpunished. The murderer, Claudius, now sits on the throne himself and has married Hamlet's mother, Gertrude, the old king's widow. The young prince is determined to bring justice to his father's cause and avenge him. But what is he willing to sacrifice? What or whom must he offer? To avoid detection in his plan for revenge, Hamlet misleads the court. He dissembles, feigning madness. Increasingly, the lines between imagination and reality blur, doubt gnaws at his conscience and willpower. And while Hamlet threatens to break under the weight of his legacy, Prince Fortinbras prepares for war against Denmark.

There are many reasons for men to climb a mountain: the passion for extreme sports, a sudden midlife crisis, or perhaps to commemorate a hiking-loving friend, Christian, who recently passed away. Steffen, Daniel, and Toni—best friends since their university days—embark on a two-day summit attempt. Benjamin Barker returns to London after years of exile – with a new name and sinister intentions. As Sweeney Todd, he opens a barbershop above Mrs. Lovett's bakery on Fleet Street. He wants revenge on Judge Turpin, who once unjustly deported him to Australia in order to steal his wife and daughter. Todd's razor is meant to send Turpin to his doom. The macabre business model he devises with Mrs. Lovett suits him perfectly: a fresh shave is half the battle. The customers who take a seat in Todd's barber's chair end up one floor below – in Mrs. Lovett's meat pies, which soon become incredibly popular. While beggars wander the streets outside and sailors sing of love, madness takes hold of the barber – and sweeps everything away with it.

The curtain rises, come what may. And hopefully, no one notices that quite a few things are going wrong in this comedy – and not just for the couple in the play. They've accidentally invited not only their good friend and her new partner to the dinner party, but also her ex-husband. Under no circumstances can the two of them meet. In a series of ludicrous actions, the couple tries to cover up the mishap and prevent disaster as best they can. But there's even more turmoil behind the scenes! Right at the beginning of the play, one of the actors simply can't remember his lines. He thought just moments ago that he was there to do some voice-over work...

Shouldn't the oceans also have a voice in a parliament that thinks about the future? And the forests? And, taking this idea further, shouldn't gender equality also be represented in this parliament? The Parliament of Things is a project for the democratic participation of young people, based on the ideas of the French sociologist Bruno Latour. As a theatrical parliament in which scientists, activists, and actors make the decision-making processes of a democratic society tangible, it aims to spark curiosity about the upcoming transformations that the future demands of us as a society. Young people and young adults are invited to hear the voices of the forests and wetlands in the six sessions of the Parliament of Things and to vote on complex issues.

For the first time, the Schwerin Ballet brings one of Schwerin's most fascinating stories to the stage: the legends of "Petermännchen" (Little Peter). Jonathan dos Santos and his ballet company breathe new life into these ancient legends by uniting storytelling, music, and movement in a unique ballet production. This innovative approach aims to honor Schwerin's rich tradition and simultaneously build a bridge between past and present. At the same time, the ballet production, Quid si sic, connects people of all generations, allowing them to experience the timeless magic of these legends together.

"Welcome to the club. The 'You're in Shit Club.'" That's how Sammy greets the new boy Ebenezer on the street in a grim housing estate. Sammy and Ebenezer know each other by sight from school. Ebenezer is smart and comes from an educated family; Sammy is rough, lively, and struggles with learning and social skills. The two become fast friends. Ebenezer was forced to move with his parents into the squalid high-rise where Sammy also lives. "It's only for a short time," his father said, but Sammy laughs at that. "My father said that too."
