"We are at the bottom of the ocean. A true universe within itself." The year is 1868. The latest newspaper reports tell of the mysterious disappearance of ships on the high seas! Where have the ships gone? Young explorers Nadine and Pierre have many theories about what could be behind it: Is there a monster in the sea? Is this monster eating the ships? Who has seen the monster? A giant prehistoric octopus, a whirlpool?
