There are many reasons for men to climb a mountain: the passion for extreme sports, a sudden midlife crisis, or perhaps to commemorate a hiking-loving friend, Christian, who recently passed away. Steffen, Daniel, and Toni—best friends since their university days—embark on a two-day summit attempt. But it's not just the mountain they're tackling; their lives are also experiencing ups and downs. Steffen, the womanizer and heartthrob with commitment issues, is about to get married and desperately hopes for his friends' support. Daniel hasn't gotten over his breakup, and Toni has been carrying around an unused condom for three years because he just can't seem to find love. This hike becomes not only a journey of self-discovery in matters of the heart for the three of them, but also puts their friendship to the test—with sharp edges, blunt honesty, and plenty of humor.

I once knew a guy named Sterni who was a doorman at a state-subsidized dive bar. "What really matters," he always said, "is overcoming gravity." But the time of utopias was over, and I was on my way to a meeting with the boss, full of anticipation. Then Sterni, smiling happily, stepped in front of me and said, "Despite deadly dangers, I overcame all the obstacles that barred my access to hidden phenomena. I discovered the living cell, found the building block of the elements, and now I'm going to venture into space. What do you say, want to come along?" And then he showed me his rocket. As an enlightened European, I could see immediately, of course, that the thing would never fly, but he just said, "Now let's give that engine some gas," opened two beers, and off we went. Unfortunately, we then had a falling out at an intergalactic convenience store over the question of why all bodies fall at the same rate regardless of their mass, and I haven't seen him since.

Benjamin Barker returns to London after years of exile – with a new name and sinister intentions. As Sweeney Todd, he opens a barbershop above Mrs. Lovett's bakery on Fleet Street. He wants revenge on Judge Turpin, who once unjustly deported him to Australia in order to steal his wife and daughter. Todd's razor is meant to send Turpin to his doom. The macabre business model he devises with Mrs. Lovett suits him perfectly: a fresh shave is half the battle. The customers who take a seat in Todd's barber's chair end up one floor below – in Mrs. Lovett's meat pies, which soon become incredibly popular. While beggars wander the streets outside and sailors sing of love, madness takes hold of the barber – and sweeps everything away with it.

Lotta is the youngest of the Nyman children—and the most headstrong. The Nyman family lives in a pretty house on Potter Street, which has since been renamed Noise Street because Papa Nyman thinks his three children are definitely not potters, but magnificent noisemakers. Who wants to wear itchy sweaters and have to put up with ignorant siblings? So Lotta decides to move in with Aunt Berg, where she is appreciated and valued. The curtain rises, come what may. And hopefully, no one notices that quite a few things are going wrong in this comedy – and not just for the couple in the play. They've accidentally invited not only their good friend and her new partner to the dinner party, but also her ex-husband. Under no circumstances can the two of them meet. In a series of ludicrous actions, the couple tries to cover up the mishap and prevent disaster as best they can. But there's even more turmoil behind the scenes! Right at the beginning of the play, one of the actors simply can't remember his lines. He thought just moments ago that he was there to do some voice-over work...

Shouldn't the oceans also have a voice in a parliament that thinks about the future? And the forests? And, taking this idea further, shouldn't gender equality also be represented in this parliament? The Parliament of Things is a project for the democratic participation of young people, based on the ideas of the French sociologist Bruno Latour. As a theatrical parliament in which scientists, activists, and actors make the decision-making processes of a democratic society tangible, it aims to spark curiosity about the upcoming transformations that the future demands of us as a society. Young people and young adults are invited to hear the voices of the forests and wetlands in the six sessions of the Parliament of Things and to vote on complex issues.

The ensemble of the Young State Theatre Parchim has demonstrated its high musical quality for many years. After forays into the realms of German pop, rock, and popular music, the question arose: what could they surprise audiences with this season? Fittingly, given the city's 800th anniversary, they chose folk songs. These songs, many centuries old, describe everyday and unique events such as birth, nature, love, work, and farewell. In short, they encompass an entire human life.

It can't always stay like this.

What happens when Ms. Loud meets Ms. Quiet? Sometimes boisterous, sometimes whispering silently, the two set off to get to know each other better, and an unusual friendship develops.
