Dr. Yi-Yang Chen rose to international stage with top prizes at the Sussex International Piano Competition, the Washington International Competition, and the Waring International Piano Competition. He is Associate Professor of Piano at the University of Kansas and Artist Director of the Orbifold Music Festival in California. Join us for a masterclass with Dr. Chen as he shares his artistry and insight with University of Arizona piano students. The event will also feature a recital of solo, piano four-hands, and two-piano repertoire performed by Dr. Chen and Dr. Fanya Lin, including Rachmaninoff’s iconic Piano Concerto No. 2. The night concludes with the Lois Trester Piano Competition Final Round, where audiences will witness the artistry of our students, and cast a vote to select the evening’s winner.
