Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra
More details
The Romantic century is encapsulated in three works inspired by landscape, native folk music, literature, history and travels abroad. Mendelssohn was captivated by Scotland – his soulful, windswept, high-spirited Symphony is the ultimate souvenir from his travels there. Dvořák’s wonderful Concerto is alive with the melodies and rhythms of his native Bohemia, a homesick love letter to his homeland in sound written from a distant New York.
