Jon Nakamatsu catapulted to international attention in 1997 as the Gold medalist of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. He has been a guest soloist with over 150 orchestras worldwide. Nakamatsu is on the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and is Artist-in-Residence of the Chautauqua Institution Piano Program.
