Sacred Visions: Oru de Oro brings together pianist/composer Michele Rosewoman’s acclaimed New Yor-Uba Ensemble and choreographer Danys “La Mora” Pérez Prades’s Oyu Oro Afro-Cuban Dance Ensemble in a bold new collaboration. Rooted in Rosewoman’s expansive musical vision, her jazz-infused suite Oru de Oro is brought vividly to life through La Mora’s visceral and deeply expressive choreography.
