On Saturday, July 11, composer, bandleader and one of Detroit's most in-demand trumpeters, Allen Dennard, takes the reins for the evening, presenting "Swing, Rhythm and Flow," a program designed to explore the deep ties between hip-hop and jazz, threaded together with poetry and spoken word.
