Robyn Bollinger leads a program of charm, color, and vivid character, featuring DSO Principal Oboe Alex Kinmonth in Vaughan Williams’s lyrical Oboe Concerto. Britten’s playful Simple Symphony opens the program with youthful wit, followed by Ruth Gipps’s atmospheric Cringlemire Gardens. After intermission, Haydn’s “Military” Symphony brings brilliance, surprise, and unmistakable flair.
