The Viennese composer Thomas Daniel Schlee was unable to complete his Third Symphony: he died in November 2025. Manfred Honeck, a close friend of the composer, opens the concert with this symphonic fragment and closes it with Beethoven's Sixth Symphony, the Pastoral.
