Celebrate the Opening Weekend with the Philadelphia Orchestra at the newly rededicated Marian Anderson Hall, home of The Philadelphia Orchestra, located in the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. This momentous occasion kicks off with performances scheduled for Friday, September 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 8:00 PM, and Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 2:00 PM.

Under the baton of the acclaimed Music and Artistic Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin, the orchestra will present a program featuring Beethoven's light-hearted Piano Concerto No. 2, showcasing the jaw-dropping panache of the critically acclaimed young pianist Seong-Jin Cho. The concert will also include Anton Bruckner’s luminous Seventh Symphony, a piece that reflects the composer's deep faith and mystical communion, interpreted by Nézet-Séguin's internationally renowned expertise in Bruckner’s works.

Tchaikovsky transports listeners to a Roman carnival in his Capriccio Italien.
