From Europe, we hear the folk-dance influenced Hungarian Dances by Brahms and the eerie spectre of Danse Macabre by Saint-Saens. In Copland’s Rodeo we have the sounds of the American West. To round out our program we have Ginastera’s Estancia Dances bursting with Argentinian rhythms, while Danzon No. 2 by Marquez has the infectious sounds of Mexico.
