Solo piano concert featuring works from Viennese classicism to late Romanticism

KUMUS

Dybfølt is a flexible musical ensemble, founded as a duo by bassist Mathæus Bech and cellist Kirstine Elise Pedersen. At Decembersol they are joined by Swedish violinist Lena Jonsson, oboist Henrik Goldschmidt, and Peter Kohlmetz Møller on piano and ondes Martenot. The ensemble's sonic universe combines classical refinement, the vitality of Nordic folk music, and more experimental soundscapes.

Christmas Concert Dybfølt Quintet

A magical musical world, where night becomes day. Opens dreamily with the myth of Pan and Syrinx, told through the solo flute's lamenting tones. Then follows Bent Sørensen's enchanting 'La Mattina' (The Morning) – a piano concerto that begins in the piano's deepest darkness and rises like the first light of day. After intermission comes Brahms' masterful clarinet quintet.

Concert featuring tenor Mark Padmore and Danish accordion virtuoso Bjarke Mogensen, with soprano Cecilie Bang. The program includes selected songs by John Dowland, songs and lieder by Franz Schubert, English folk songs, and instrumental pieces.

Experience Olivier Messiaen's groundbreaking masterpiece "Quartet for the End of Time". The work was written in 1941 while the composer was in a German prisoner of war camp. Here he found inspiration in the Book of Revelation to compose a soul-stirring work about the end of days and world war, but also about light, birds and eternal peace.
