For this production we have invited the young Gotland performers Stina Nordberg and Hjalmar Ljungberg to reinterpret hits by Siw Malmkvist and Björn Skifs. In a program full of energy and strong emotion, we pay tribute to two of our most beloved artists and their significance for Swedish pop and schlager over more than six decades.

Tribute to Malmkvist and Skifs

A warm welcome to a cozy folk-song session (visstuga) at Östergarns Bygdegård! On an afternoon in December, a visstuga in traditional folk singing is offered together with Julia Westberg. Julia shares her best tips for making your voice ring out in a truly folk style, and we will learn a selection of songs on the theme: Staffan's songs (Staffansvisor), Christmas songs, and also a medieval ballad. The evening continues with a game and dance evening, and coffee and snacks are available for purchase. The workshop is free of charge, and you register through Nortic. No prior experience is required to participate.
