Shostakovich 9
More details
Experience the great orchestra in an intimate format! Shostakovich's Ninth Symphony is a sarcastic, irascible dance with fate, equal parts comic and bittersweet. It is a political and musical rebellion against all expectations, and a tribute to the orchestra's individualists. Farrenc's two overtures are elegant and easy on the ear. Tchaikovsky pays homage to his greatest idol, Mozart, in his Mozartiana Suite.
