Jazzkafeene introduces the next generation: young trumpeter Zacharias "Zach" Ellingsen and pianist Philip Granly, with vocalist Majken Christiansen performing elegantly re-arranged swing jazz in the tradition of the great jazz divas.

Tor Einar "Dr" Bekken is a phenomenal pianist and vocalist who, together with his Bookerizers, delivers uncompromising, hard-hitting and rolling boogie woogie, interspersed with soft ballads and original compositions. Inspiration is drawn from, among others, Fats Domino, Professor Longhair, Piano Red and Albert Simmons.

Magnolia Jazzband (established 1972 in Oslo) plays New Orleans-based traditional jazz blended with gospel and rhythm and blues. The band was started by trombonist Gunnar Gotaas and is today one of Norway's oldest bands in continuous operation.

Billie Holiday's voice and Lester Young's saxophone were made for each other, and it works just as well in small groups as with larger bands.
