Your Richmond Symphony presents Brahms’ lyrical Symphony No. 2, the world premiere of a new work by our composer in residence Damien Geter, and Francesca Dego as the soloist in the Violin Concerto of Ferruccio Busoni. No less a romantic than Brahms, who echoes throughout this concerto, Busoni was a singular voice, an iconoclast who composed music for the future. This centennial celebration may just be the moment time catches up to Busoni.
