About

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Joseph Haydn often crossed paths during their careers as composers and performers and their creativity and genius changed history forever. Two of their late symphonies take center stage in this concert led by Ton Koopman. Mozart’s Linz Symphony opens with grandeur and pomp and culminates in an exuberant finale. Haydn brings his characteristic charm and wit in his Symphony No. 80 as he juxtaposes light and dark, tragedy and comedy, to great musical effect
