Today, more than 200 years after his passing, the music of Mozart still speaks to us, moves us, and leaves us breathless. Valentina Peleggi conducts Mozart’s magnificent Symphony No. 36, the “Linz.” Plus, two exhilarating musical declarations: from our own time: Damien Geter’s “I Said What I Said”. And the Chamber Symphony of Shostakovich, arranged from his defiant Third String Quartet.
