The USC Thornton Opera and the USC Thornton Symphony presents a double bill of two one-act operas. Saariaho’s La Passion de Simone is a meditative journey in 15 stations exploring the life-work of French philosopher Simone Weil. The Juniper Tree is based on the Grimm Brothers’ tale of the same name with composers Glass and Moran setting alternating scenes.
