Tatjana Mead Chamis, Principal Violist of the Pittsburgh Symphony, will present a solo recital at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 11 and a masterclass, featuring Penn State viola students, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday March 12. As part of the residency, her husband Flavio Chamis will present a lecture entitled “From Ipanema to the World,” in which he will discuss the international impact of Brazilian music, at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday March 12.
