The BSO Benevolent Fund is a charity run by the musicians for the musicians. It was set up in 1958 to provide financial support for musicians in cases of prolonged and/or serious illness or injury. From the start it has been successful in meeting these aims with the very generous support of those who have contributed. The main source of income is the annual Benevolent Fund Concert at which all the musicians give freely of their services, as have ...
