Daniel Harding leads The Cleveland Orchestra from the Miami seaside to the farthest reaches of the solar system! Elgar’s sublime song cycle "Sea Pictures" provides open water for Avery Amereau to demonstrate her rich, velvety contralto. Later, Holst’s orchestral suite "The Planets" conjures a galaxy’s worth of emotions — from the bellicose dissonance of “Mars, the Bringer of War” to the electrifying “Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity.”
