Join us for a captivating afternoon of music at "The Italian Violin" concert, presented by the Sebastians. This intimate recital will take place on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 2pm in the serene Chapel of Brick Presbyterian Church, located at 62 E. 92nd St., New York City. Enter through the white doorway on Park Avenue between 91st and 92nd Street, where you'll find a welcoming entrance with a hand-rail and two small steps.

This special event features core musicians Nicholas DiEugenio on violin and Jeffrey Grossman on harpsichord, who will explore the violin's Italian roots and its evolution into the orchestra's diva. The program will highlight the instrument's journey from the streets to the concert hall, showcasing works by legendary composers such as Giovanni Battista Fontana, Domenico Scarlatti, Johann Sebastian Bach, Giovanni Battista Somis, and George Frideric Handel. The concert will include a mix of solo and duo repertoire, with a special focus on Bach's sonatas and partitas, which were heavily influenced by Italian music.

The concert will last approximately 80 minutes without an intermission, promising an uninterrupted musical journey through time.

Tickets are available, but we strive to make music accessible to all. Students of any age can attend for free (subject to availability), and community comp tickets are available for those who cannot afford a ticket.
