Join us for an enchanting evening of clarinet mastery featuring Kathryn Jarvey, a talented Master of Music student at the Northwestern Bienen School of Music. This recital, part of her academic journey, showcases her exceptional skills under the tutelage of esteemed instructors Stephen Williamson and Todd Levy. Accompanied by a group of gifted musicians including Mara Goree (flute), Ying Jiang (oboe), Ashrey Shah (E-flat clarinet), Elynn Chang and Jonah Stuckey (clarinet), James Smelley (bassoon), Landon Young (horn), and Ke Wang (piano), Kathryn will present a repertoire that spans the breadth of clarinet music. The evening's program includes Béla Kovács' "Hommage à Manuel de Falla," Johannes Brahms' "Sonata No. 2 in E-flat Major, Op. 120," Francis Poulenc's "Sextet, FP 100," and an arrangement of Leonard Bernstein's "Overture to Candide" by John Romano.

This recital is scheduled for Monday, May 6, 2024, at 8:30pm CDT, in the Regenstein Master Class Room, a venue known for hosting hundreds of performances each year.
