The performance will feature an exceptional ensemble of Philharmonia Orchestra’s string players, including Eunsley Park and Nuno Carapina on violin, Rebecca Chambers on viola, and Richard Birchall and Alexander Rolton on cello. Together, they will bring to life Schubert's String Quintet in C major, celebrated for its profound emotional depth and sublime beauty, particularly its slow movement which balances tranquillity with heartbreak.

Schubert’s innovative choice of adding a second cello to the quintet lends an unparalleled richness and depth to this expressive piece.
