Santa Clarita Symphony Orchestra

Join us for an enchanting evening of classical music at the "Happy Feet" concert, presented by the Santa Clarita Symphony Orchestra (SCSO). This special event will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Santa Clarita United Methodist Church, located at 26640 Bouquet Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita, CA 91350, USA.

"Happy Feet" promises a captivating selection of dance music from classical music's greatest composers. The program includes the lush sounds of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake Waltz," Ponchielli's melodious "Dance of the Hours" as seen in Disney's Fantasia, the exciting "Danse Macabre" by Saint-Saëns, and more. The concert will also feature Gabriel Fauré's "Masques et Bergamasques," a suite of early 20th Century neo-classical versions of European dances, and other beautiful pieces by Sibelius, Debussy, and Stravinsky, offering a diverse and engaging musical experience.

Prepare for an evening that explores the beauty and diversity of dance music, from the diabolical "Danse Macabre" to the longingly beautiful "Valse Triste" by Sibelius, and even a surprise encore that promises to swap toe shoes for cowboy boots. This concert is a unique opportunity to enjoy classical music in a new light, with no dancing required—just "happy feet" tapping along to the rhythm.

Tickets are available in various categories, with early bird prices ranging from $15.00 to $20.00, regular prices from $20.00 to $25.00, and concert day prices from $25.00 to $30.00.
