**Synchromy Urban Birds 2024: Voices From the Hill**

Join us for a transformative experience with "Voices from the Hill," a unique performance event that brings to life the stories and sounds of Elephant Hill, an unprotected greenspace in El Sereno, Los Angeles. This event is part of the Urban Birds 2024 series, aiming to highlight the importance of green spaces in urban areas and the role of community in preserving such spaces.

**About the Program:**
Directed by Talia Greene, with compositions and sound creations by Guillermo Brown, "Voices from the Hill" is a collaborative effort featuring contributions from community partner Elva Yañez of Save Elephant Hill, visual artists Maria Maea and Raul Baltazar, and poet Luis Rodriguez. The event is a journey through the natural and distressed sections of Elephant Hill, culminating in a vision of regeneration and coexistence between humans, birds, and wildlife.

The May 11th event will guide visitors along a path with six stopping points, each showcasing song, percussion, and visual art that tie together the narrative themes of Heed the Call, Struggle, Devastation, Crossroads, Contemplation, and Regeneration. Interactive installations and music performances will engage visitors in a dialogue with nature and community.

The May 18th event at Arlington Gardens celebrates collective action and transformation, featuring variations on the themes presented at Elephant Hill, interactive workshops, and a chance to engage with the community and nature in meaningful ways.

**Special Notes:**
- The May 11th event involves uneven walking paths and steep climbs. The May 18th event is designed to be accessible for those with mobility limitations.
- The event celebrates collaboration in safeguarding a healthy world for all.
