Oneota Valley Community Orchestra

The Oneota Valley Community Orchestra (OVCO) is thrilled to announce the opening of its 10th season with a spectacular concert featuring the works of Mozart, Brahms, and Bruckner. This celebratory event is set to take place on Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Decorah High School, located in Decorah, IA 52101.

The concert will commence with a nod to the OVCO's inaugural season, opening with Mozart's enchanting Overture to "Die Zauberflöte" (The Magic Flute). This will be followed by the vibrant and energetic "Hungarian Dances 5 & 6" by Johannes Brahms, setting the stage for the grand finale. The first half of the concert promises to captivate the audience with these masterful compositions.

The highlight of the evening will be Anton Bruckner's majestic Symphony No. 4 in E-flat major, famously dubbed "Romantic". This epic symphony is sure to provide a powerful and moving conclusion to the concert, showcasing the talent and passion of the OVCO musicians.

This event marks a significant milestone for the OVCO, celebrating a decade of bringing classical music to the community. It's an opportunity for music lovers to come together and enjoy a program that beautifully blends the works of three legendary composers.
