"Blue13: 100 Seconds to Midnight" is an exhilarating performance scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 8:00 PM, produced in partnership with the Blue13 Dance Company. This event marks the return of the celebrated contemporary dance ensemble with a groundbreaking new program that draws inspiration from the Doomsday Clock, a symbol of global catastrophe's proximity.

The performance will take place at The Ford, with gates opening at 6:30 PM, allowing attendees to settle in before the show begins. Individual concert tickets are set to go on sale on May 14, offering fans the opportunity to secure their spot for this unique experience.

"100 Seconds to Midnight" is choreographed by Achinta S. McDaniel, the founding artistic director of Blue13 Dance Company, alongside Jon Paul, the associate director. The program is a contemporary dance project that blends traditional and modern Indian dance with a variety of genres, from hip-hop to ballet. It challenges perceptions of South Asian dance while exploring themes of doom as experienced by South Asian communities, misogyny, the generational effects of colonization, and the interrogation of women’s duty, tradition, and assimilation.

This performance is part of the FordLab Producers Program Series and promises to be an unforgettable night of powerful dance and profound storytelling.
