Dive into the transformative experience of "SOAK," an accessibility-centered, virtual, and immersive electroacoustic toy opera. This unique performance is created and led by the talented Alexa Dexa, a xXgrandmacoreXx, queer, femme non-binary, and Disabled composer-performer. "SOAK" is designed with and for sick, mad, disabled folks, offering a communal crip ritual that nourishes body and mind through the act of soaking in various forms of water.

**About the Performance:**
"SOAK" invites participants to engage in a small journey within a small space, where the expanse is internal, and the narrative is uniquely yours. It moves beyond the concept of cure, asking instead what feels healing for you at this moment. The sound world of "SOAK" is shaped by Alexa Dexa's live vocals, electronic processing, and the glacially timeshifted sounds of a toychestra, all while collaborating with the sounds of participants and their chosen body of water.

**Accessibility Features:**
The event prides itself on its access artistry, including American Sign Language, song-signing, creative captioning, audio description, and the presence of access doulas. Participants are welcome to engage in the event in a way that feels most comfortable to them, with options to use chat, keep video on or off, and come and go as needed.

**Vision:**
"SOAK" consists of two interdependent components: a live performance by Alexa Dexa and an interactive score for the audience, allowing them to shape the sound world through their own soaking experiences. This event is a celebration of Disabled brilliance and belonging, offering a space for transformation and self-trust.

Alexa Dexa is a composer-performer and sound witch, crafting songspells that focus on deconstructing systemic oppression and celebrating Disabled identity. Their work uses music as a tool for transformative care, offering musical oracle readings and performances that support individuals through trauma.
