Nobuyuki Tsujii performs music by three of the piano’s greatest composers. The instrument takes full flight at the start of Beethoven’s “Waldstein” Sonata, a virtuosic piece from the composer’s heroic era. We then hear the first (and most popular) of Liszt’s Mephistowaltzes, evoking an ecstatic dance sequence through the woods.
