Gregory Porter, celebrated for his rich baritone voice and captivating performances, has been a prominent figure in the jazz world since his debut. Raised in Bakersfield, California, Porter's unique sound is deeply influenced by the Bakersfield Southern Gospel sound and his mother's cherished Nat King Cole record collection. His journey in music began in the small jazz clubs of San Diego and eventually led him to New York City, where his career soared with the release of his albums "Water" (2010) and "Be Good" (2012), both receiving Grammy nominations.

Porter's breakthrough came with his Blue Note debut "Liquid Spirit" in 2013, which not only sold over a million albums but also earned him his first Grammy Award, heralding him as America’s next great jazz singer. Following this, his 2016 album "Take Me to the Alley" won him another Grammy for Best Vocal Jazz Album. His subsequent albums, including the heartfelt tribute "Nat King Cole & Me" and the original "ALL RISE," have continued to receive critical acclaim and Grammy nominations.

In addition to his musical achievements, Porter has hosted "The Hang," a podcast featuring conversations with famous friends, and "The PorterHouse," a cooking show sharing recipes inspired by his local community, global tours, and family traditions.
