Experience the magic of film like never before as your ASO performs some of the most iconic movie scores from films such as Rambo, Gremlins, Star Trek, and more. These masterpieces, all composed by the award-winning Jerry Goldsmith, have captured the hearts of audiences worldwide. Goldsmith's illustrious career includes nominations for six Grammy Awards, five Primetime Emmy Awards, nine Golden Globe Awards, four British Academy Film Awards, and eighteen Academy Awards, winning in 1976 for The Omen. This event is a rare opportunity to hear a selection of Goldsmith's amazing catalog performed live, as the Symphony is one of only a few orchestras granted rights to perform his work.
