Join us for a captivating afternoon of music and community spirit at the Piedmont Wind Symphony & The Queen Bees: Live at Tanglewood Park! This enchanting event is set to take place on Sunday, May 12, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Tanglewood Park Band Shell, located at 4061 Clemmons Rd, Clemmons, NC.

As part of the Arts Council's 9th Annual Parks Concert Series, in collaboration with Forsyth County Government, this concert promises a free, family-friendly experience that showcases the talents of local and national musicians in one of the area's most picturesque outdoor venues. The May 12 concert will feature the dynamic Piedmont Wind Symphony, known for their creative performances and recent collaborations, including a series with Renée Elise Goldsberry of Broadway’s "Hamilton." Joining them are The Queen Bees, a trio of award-winning North Carolina-based artists who bring a unique blend of traditional and modern sounds, vocal harmonies, and storytelling.

This Mother’s Day, treat your family to a memorable musical celebration. The event will also offer a family-friendly art activity hosted by our community partner, MIXXER, where kids and adults alike can engage in crafting while learning about the classes and workshops offered by MIXXER Community Makerspace, sponsored by Publix Super Markets Charities.

The concert is free to the public, with gates opening at 1:00 PM. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating, and picnics are welcome. Food will also be available for purchase from vendors on-site, along with wine, beer, and water, with all proceeds supporting the Arts Council. Please note, no outside alcohol is permitted, but dogs on leashes are welcome to join in on the fun.

In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts at 251 N Spruce Street, Winston-Salem. Be sure to check the Arts Council’s website and social media for day-of venue updates.
