Anneleen Lenaerts

Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège

Experience the luminous and pastoral brilliance of Brahms' Second Symphony at the Salle Philharmonique in Liège on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 8:00 PM. Under the baton of Valentina Peleggi, the first Italian woman admitted to the conducting program at the Royal Academy of Music in London, the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège (OPRL) brings to life the sunny side of German Romanticism. This symphonic event also features the sonic fireworks of British composer Anna Clyne's "Masquerade," evoking the bucolic atmosphere of 18th-century London concerts, and the Argentine dance rhythms of Ginastera's Harp Concerto, a masterpiece of innovation performed by Anneleen Lenaerts, the principal harpist of the Vienna Philharmonic.

The evening promises a diverse program that includes:
- CLYNE: Masquerade
- GINASTERA: Harp Concerto
- BRAHMS: Symphony No. 2

This concert is part of the "Grands Classiques" series, offering a selection of symphonic music that spans the breadth of the classical repertoire. Tickets are available at various price points (45 / 35 / 23 / 16 / 11), ensuring accessibility for all attendees.
