“Song of love, hymn to joy, time, movement, rhythm, life and death.” So Messiaen described his Turangalîla-symphonie — an extravagant, ecstatic piece that seeks and celebrates humanity’s place in the natural and the spiritual realms. Featuring pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet and ondes martenot soloist Cynthia Millar.
