Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra

Join the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra for a family-friendly concert titled "Curious Creatures & Adventurous Animals" at the Bridport Arts Centre. This enchanting event promises to take you on a musical journey through the natural world, featuring a program specially designed for families and presented by BSO Young Music leaders. 

Dive into an auditory exploration of the wilderness, from the forest floor under the moonlight to the distant roar of the ocean. The concert will include a variety of pieces, such as Rimsky Korsakov’s "Flight of the Bumblebee," Villa-Lobos’ "Floresta do Amazonas," and Bjork’s "Crystalline," among others, to bring the extraordinary sounds of your favorite animals to life.

Before the concert, families can participate in a pre-concert workshop at 1:30 pm, free of charge for ticket holders. Led by three Young Music Leaders, this fun music-making session will explore the sound world of curious creatures and adventurous animals. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own instruments, although a selection will also be available to choose from. This workshop is open to family groups with children of all ages.
