**About the Performance:**
"ShebeenDUB" unfolds in three parts, starting with "Nehanda," a radio opera that immerses audiences in the anti-colonial war in Zimbabwe through the story of Nehanda, a Shona spirit. The performance then transitions to a live dance featuring three dancers and dub music spun by DJ Luz Mob within the "afternow" sound installation, designed by Ari Marcopoulos and Kara Walker. The evening culminates in a DJ dance party, inviting everyone to celebrate the spirit of resistance and community.

For 25 years, Harlem Stage's signature dance series, E-Moves, has been a platform for artists of color to present their movement-based creations. This year, we honor the legacy of artists like Camille A. Brown, Ronald K. Brown, nora chipaumire, and Bill T. Jones, who have significantly contributed to the institution's dance programming and continue to inspire the future of dance.
