This special event is set to take place on Friday, December 1, 2023, from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the iconic Harlem Stage, located at 150 Convent Avenue, New York.

Dive into a night of vibrant Latin music as Afro-Dominican bandleader and guitarist Yasser Tejeda takes the stage, delivering a powerful blend of traditional folkloric music, jazz, rock, and Caribbean rhythms. The evening will also feature the electrifying DJ Sabine Blaizin Oyasound, who will keep the energy high with her unique mix of Global House, Soul, Afrotech, Afrobeat, and other diasporic Afro-Caribbean dance music, all while paying homage to her Haitian roots.

This event is a part of the Uptown Nights Latin Music Series, co-presented with the World Music Institute & Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI), and marks a significant moment in Harlem Stage's anniversary year celebration. The series aims to showcase a diverse array of artists representing the rich cultural tapestry of the Latin diaspora.

Doors open at 8PM with a DJ set to get the night started, followed by the main show at 9PM, and another DJ set at 10:30PM to keep the party going. Seating is general admission with limited bench seating available, ensuring an intimate and engaging experience for all attendees.

This program is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, with additional support provided by the Diana King Memorial Fund presented by the Charles and Lucille King Family Foundation.
