We are in the Spanish city of Seville at the end of the 18th century, more than 200 years ago. The cheerful barber Figaro helps Count Almaviva to win over the pretty Rosina. But that is not so easy. Because Rosina, whose parents are no longer alive, is raised by a foster father, old Dr. Bartolo. He guards her closely because he is after Rosina's money and therefore wants to marry her himself. But Figaro has some ideas how he can help Count Almavi...
